Building for the twenty-first century

This brochure, prepared to commemorate the official inauguration ceremony of the new WMO Headquarters building on 4 May 1999, describes the innovative and time-honoured techniques of energy conservation used, and bears testimony to the commitment of WMO to the protection of the environment and the ratio-nal and economical use of energy. The design and use of high-tech equipment will enable WMO to better serve its Members.
