WMO Writing and Style Guide

This guide covers issues that authors, scientific editors and linguists working at and for WMO may encounter during the preparation of material for publication. It is not exhaustive, focusing rather on common problems encountered and frequently asked questions asked by colleagues. Largely based on the United Nations Editorial Manual Online, which remains the primary authority on style and spelling in the United Nations system, this guide focuses on the specific terminology, spelling and style that occur in WMO material.
