Summary
The eleventh session of the GSICS Executive Panel (EP) was hosted by ROSHYDROMET in St Petersburg on 2 October 2011 in conjunction with the 39th session of CGMS. The Panel noted the good progress made by both the GSICS Data Management Working Group (GDWG) and the GSICS Research Working Group (GRWG). It stressed the importance and the benefit of following a harmonized methodology throughout the agencies and encouraged IMD and ISRO to resume contact with the GSICS Coordimation Centre (GCC) with a view to facilitate implementation of GSICS corrections on INSAT and Kalpana. The Panel invited the GCC to submit proposals for moving demonstration products to the pre-operational phase at the next EP meeting as soon as the GPPA criteria are met.
