Summary
A symposium on "The Agrometeorology of the Wheat Crop" was held in Braunschweig (Federal Republic of Germany) from 22- 27 October 1973. At its sixth session (Washington, October 1974), the Commission for Agricultural Meteorology restressed the importance of organizing symposia and seminars on agricultural meteorology dealing with topics of particular importance in world food production, and proposed as the topic for the second symposium in this series the subject of "The Agrometeorology of the Maize (Corn) Crop".
