Introduction to Climate Change: lecture notes for meteorologists
This compendium provides material on the science of climate change, assuming that students already have the basic understanding of geophysical fluid dynamics and relevant physical processes in the atmosphere. Although designed as training material, it also attempts to respond to the needs for monitoring climate change, to help governing bodies to understand the scientific issues and to provide information to the general public.

Compendium of lecture notes in marine meteorology for class III and class IV personnel
This compendium covers the syllabuses for the specialized training of Class II and Class IV personnel in marine meteorology (see third edition of Guidelines for the education and training of personnel in meteorology and operational hydrology (WMO-No. 258)). As the title indicates, the compendium contains extensive notes, on which students and instructors are expected to enlarge. The compendium is concerned with the atmosphere over the oceanic regions of the globe and also with the uppermost layers of the sea. It begins with a survey of the geography and basic properties of the ocean and then f ...

Compendium of lecture notes for training class IV Meteorological personnel - Volume 2, Meteorology
This publication is designed to cater to the needs of persons who wish to undertake training as synoptic or aeronautical observers; it may also be used by students seeking careers as climato-logical, agrometeorological or hydrometeorological observers. Volume I deals with Earth science and should, in principle, be studied prior to the training course in meteorology. The 1984 edition of Volume II has been revised to bring it into line with new terminology and the codes for surface observations introduced in 1982. It is divided into four parts: general meteorology, surface instruments, methods o ...
