SectionI, Background, provides background information on Nepal. SectionII, Climate Change in Nepal, addresses the anticipated impacts of CC on water resources and agricultural systems in Nepal. SectionIII, Mapping of Relevant Institutions for Climate Change Adaptation, provides a theoretical discussion of adaptation and, through a case study analysis of the Koshi River Basin using institutional mapping to assess the various hierarchies of resource management and development in the basin, attempts to understand the institutional framework that will ultimately govern the adaptation process.
