IOM Report, 21. Algorithms for automatic aerological soundings
The purpose of this report is to collect together for convenient reference all coefficients and procedures that arise from the quantitative message requirements. In addition, empirical algorithms are presented for the remaining (qualitative) tasks. Except where stated, they have been in operational use for several years. Although drawn from specific systems, the algorithms have been generalised and are given in sufficient detail to facilitate their use in other systems. These algorithms will serve as a standard of comparison for alternative procedures that might be contemplated.Permalink![]()
