Applications of meteorology to atmospheric pollution problems
A summary of the main activities in air pollution meteorology followed by a chapter on air quality management, which describes, inter alia, the concept of background air pollution and a system for evaluation of air pollution processes on various space scales. The Note then reviews the meteorological information, network and data-processing requirements for the operational evaluation of air pollution, and the characteristics and use of models.
