It also presents examples from different parts of the world to illustrate the factors to be considered in developing international or cross-border collaborations in the warning process for cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, and storm surge. It offers a number of observations and suggestions for consideration by countries that may wish to set up bilateral, regional or international collaboration in the framework of establishing internationally effective systems of warnings.
