
Industrial pollution and urban environment:a case study of Narayangonj Pourashava: the negative long-term impact of industrial waste


There has been a remarkable and refreshing interest in urban environment over the past few years. New development means some specific sectors and different sectors economic advancement. Advanced nations are economically developed and no doubt developing countries are more concern about economic development. One of the important sectors of economic development in developing world is manufacturing industries. Developing countries has industries promoted and motivated or controlled by different advanced foreign nations which sometimes contradict with the urban land use and environment and become a cause of sufferings for the urban people. The manufacturing industries produced toxic liquid wastes and the local authorities forced by the market condition to dump the wastes into the open water bodies. The industrial wastes have negative long-term impact over the local natural and economic environment, sustainable development and better environment to live.
