Operational oceanography: scientific lectures at JCOMM-1

Published by: WMO, IOC ; 2001The scientific lectures were subsequently presented to JCOMM-I during a single half-day session, and the Commission later agreed that the full texts should be published as a formal JCOMM Technical Report, so that they might also be of benefit to those unable to attend the session. This present publication is the result. It should prove of interest and benefit to all those with an interest in the implementation of operational oceanography and in the rapid development of JCOMM as the appropriate technical instrument of WMO and IOC to coordinate operational oceanography at the intergovernmental level. The considerable thanks of WMO and IOC are due to all the expert lecturers for their time and effort in preparing and presenting these lectures.
