Tourism and disaster risk : a contribution by the United Nations to the consultation leading to the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (WCDRR)
United Nations, 2014This document provides some recommendations for addressing disaster risk in tourism in the post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction. It presents: (i) status of mainstreaming disaster risk reduction in tourism; (ii) the drivers for mainstreaming disaster risk reduction into the tourism sector; (iii) recommendations for addressing disaster risk in tourism in the post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction; (iv) measuring disaster risk in tourism; (v) a list of agencies contributing and a brief description of institutional commitment; and (vi) key documents/source of additional info.
