2012En décembre 2004, un tsunami provoqué par un tremblement de terre au large de Sumatra avait tué environ 220 000 personnes. Mercredi 11 avril, un puissant séisme d'une magnitude de 8,6 sur l'échelle de Richter a frappé l'Indonésie. Les systèmes d'alerte ont immédiatement été mis en place dans l'océan Indien. François Schindelé, expert en aléa tsunami au Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et président du groupe intergouvernemental de coordination des systèmes d'alerte en Méditerranée et en Atlantique Nord revient sur le fonctionnement de ces dispositifs et leurs améliorations.
