WCRP, 132. SPARC Report on the Evaluation of Chemistry-Climate Models
Three-dimensional climate models with a fully interactive representation of stratospheric ozone chemistry otherwise known as stratosphere-resolving chemistry-climate models (CCMs) are key tools for the attribution and prediction of stratospheric ozone changes arising from the combined effects of changes in the amounts of greenhouse gases (GHG) and ozone-depleting substances (ODS). These models can also be used to infer potential effects of stratospheric changes on the climate of the troposphere. In order to know how much confidence can be placed in the results from the CCMs, both individually ...

In order to know how much confidence can be placed in the results from the CCMs, both individually and collectively, it is necessary to assess their performance by comparison with observations and known physical constraints.

WCRP Implementation Plan 2010-2015
The WCRP Implementation Plan 2010-2015 describe the major research activities and initiatives that WCRP will promote and undertake during the next several years. These activities are based on the scientific challenges and opportunities of interest identified by the scientists involved in the programme, as well as on the national and international scientific priorities that would most benefit from the coordination and integration that can be provided by WCRP Projects and Working Groups.

WCDMP, 70. Guidelines for Plant Phenological Observations
The technical document on the guidelines for plant phenological observations raises the benefits of these types of observations in monitoring the impact of the changing climate on an important biosphere element of the climate system which is vegetation. The content of the document was elaborated by experts in climatology and biometeorology in a multidisciplinary team work approach. The guidelines included in the document are based on scientifically recognized principles and good practices undertaken by several institutions having long experience in carrying out plant phonological observations ...

The World Climate Research Programme achievements : scientific knowledge for climate adaptation, mitigation and risk management
This report illustrates the depth and breadth of observational research and analysis, modelling and synthesis, and climate projection and prediction activities that arebeing coordinated by WCRP. In addition it provides the highlights of the solid scientific foundation that WCRP has established for developing and disseminating the climate science knowledge that will be required in the ensuing decades to inform decision-makers on all aspects of mitigation, adaptation and risk management associated with climate variability and change.
