UNEP, 1992The Biological Diversity Convention was ratified by Colombia and incorporated into national legislation through law number 165, 1994. The objectives of this convention are the conservation of biological diversity, the sustainable use of its components and the just and equitable participation of the benefits, which derive from the use of genetic resources.
