Technical Commission for Hydrology (TC CHy)
The Commission for Hydrology (CHy) shapes the water related activities of the WMO and addresses issues related to the basic hydrological observation network, water resources assessment, flood forecasting and management, adaptability to climate variability and change and promotes exchange of technology and capacity building. In particular the outcomes of its deliberations provide guidance to WMO Member countries and WMO Secretariat for the implementation of the Hydrology and Water Resources Programme of WMO.

Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM)
The Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM) is a joint initiative of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Global Water Partnership (GWP). It promotes the concept of Integrated Flood Management (IFM) as a new approach to flood management. The programme is being financially supported by the governments of Japan and Switzerland.

IUGG Yearbook
The IUGG Yearbook is a reference document of IUGG members, administrative officers, and Association and Union Commission officers that is updated annually and distributed free of charge. Each issue endeavors to update the contact information for hundreds of persons who are actively participating in IUGG scientific activities. Information is complied throughout the year until early December. The print-ready copy is sent to the publisher in late December, and the Yearbooks are distributed as soon as possible thereafter.

Annexe - Tarage du fleuve Sénégal a Gouina-Amont
Le tarage du Sénégal à GOUINA-Amont est de type univoque, stable et sans anomalie. La station est située à l'amont d'une chute d'une dizaine de mètres de hauteur, donc soumise à un contrôle aval "idéal". De nombreux jaugeages de moyennes eaux ont été réalisés, au cours desquels la pente superficielle a été mesurée. La courbe de moyennes eaux est donc bien définie mais l'extrapolation de 2 500 à 7 000 m3/s est difficile. Cet exemple est extrait du Manuel d'hydrométrie - Tome V (annexe A2).
