This publication is designed to cater to the needs of persons who wish to undertake training as synoptic or aeronautical observers; it may also be used by students seeking careers as climato-logical, agrometeorological or hydrometeorological observers. It is divided into four parts: general meteorology, surface instruments, methods of observation, and aeronautical meteorology.
