COP17 | CMP17: Working Together, Saving Tomorrow, Today
The COP serves as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, which also adopts decisions and resolutions on the implementation of its provisions.
This annual meeting is referred to as the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP).
However, Parties to the Convention that are not Parties to the Protocol are able to participate in the CMP as observers, but without the right to take decisions.

The CC DARE initiative is jointly implemented by UNEP and UNDP under the one UN Banner. The CC DARE initiative provides timely technical and financial support on demand-driven basis to countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Small Island Developing States for flexible and targeted actions to remove barriers and create opportunities for integrating climate change adaptation into national development planning and decision-making frameworks.
