Workshop on enhancing disaster resilience of education sector and communities
This report presents a two-day workshop conducted by the International Environment and Disaster Management (IEDM) Laboratory, Kyoto University, with the participation of officials from the Board of Education from three cities in Tohoku, other cities placing efforts in disaster risk reduction (DRR) activities, and researchers and practitioners endeavoring in DRR. A compilation of reports and discussions from the workshop, this publication analyses various issues concerning school centered community building and DRR education.
